Our business will specialize in the safety and quality assurance testing for the cannabis and cannabis related products, complying with the rules and regulations set forth by the Bureau of Cannabis Control (BCC) in the state of California.

Position: Microbiology Analyst

Candidate must be comfortable working with cannabis within a typical chemical/biological laboratory environment

Position Description

The Microbiology Analyst is responsible for sample preparation.

Minimum Qualifications

The Microbiology Analyst must, at a minimum, meet the following qualifications:

The Microbiology Analyst must, at a minimum, meet the following qualifications:

  • PhD in a chemical or biological science from an accredited college or university
  • MS in a chemical or biological science from an accredited college or university
  • BS in a chemical or biological science from an accredited college or university
  • BS in one of the chemical or biological sciences from an accredited college or university; or
  • 2 years of college coursework from an accredited college or university and at least 3 years of full-time, practical experience

The Microbiology Analyst must have the following experience:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

  • Sample preparation for analysis
  • Maintain a clean and orderly laboratory
  • Recognize issues that need to be brought to the Laboratory Managers Attention
  • Documenting non-conformances
  • Preparing media and solutions
  • Washing dishes
  • Sample disposal

Physical Demands

  • The Microbiology Analyst must be able to move about the laboratory
  • This position requires the ability to lift up to 50lbs.
