Microbiologist 2nd Shift

We are a rapidly growing startup analytical laboratory located about 25 miles south of Olympia Wa. We analyze food, agricultural, & environmental samples. We are also state certified for microbiological and chemical analysis of Recreational Cannabis.(I-502)

Candidate will be responsible for sample preparation, microbiological analyses, data analysis, and related laboratory duties. Candidates should have a thorough knowledge of FDA BAM methods, , USP, and AOAC methods, as well as experience with ELISA, PCR, traditional micro methods and molecular methods.

The hours for this shiftre 3pm to 11:30 pm M-F

The laboratory operates weekends, so candidates must be willing to work some weekends.

Requirements:

• BS/BA degree in Microbiology

• very high level of organization and attention to detail

• positive, upbeat attitude

• must show ability to work independently

• excellent verbal and written communication skills

• ability to multi-task and stay on top of many projects at the same time

• show demonstrated ability to successfully follow SOPs

• ability to perform repetitive tasks with a high level of success

• ability to lift 30 pounds and stand for periods of up to 10 hours

• a penchant for perfection and an eagerness to learn, contribute, and excel
