Position: Merchandising Manager

Job Overview
Have a Heart is a cannabis retailer headquartered in Seattle, Washington. We are seeking an experienced retail merchandising manager to overhaul and professionalize our merchandising set ups throughout our retail locations. As the company enters an aggressive period of expansion across the country, we will need a driven individual to ensure the brand’s merchandising presence remains consistent and strong across multiple states and regions. We need an individual capable of overhauling our designs, in addition to setting policy and style guidelines for store-level merchandisers to implement. Overall, the merchandising manager will need to be a team player capable of working closely with the marketing director, store-level merchandisers and the supply chain director to execute the company’s vision.
Job Responsibilities and Duties
- Implement merchandising best-practices and protocols to improve guest experience and boost productivity.
- Evaluate and overhaul our current design and store layouts to maximize brand impact and a positive customer experience.
- Develop new policies, procedures and guidelines for store-level merchandisers to execute
- Ensure these new policies, procedures and guidelines are uniform across regions as the company expands.
- Develop productivity targets for organization and evaluate performance of merchandising employees.
- Develop and ensure compliance to budget for all merchandising process.
- Prepare training and job orientation programs for all new merchandisers in conjunction with the training director
- Coordinate with store management to hire store-level merchandising associates.
- Monitor retail price for competitors and maintain appropriate pricing for products accordingly.
- Monitor and apply various merchandising methods and ensure increase in productivity.
- Collaborate with a diverse staff at both the regional and HQ level.
Job Qualifications
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong business partnering and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to build and manage successful teams
- Ability to work well in high pressure situations in order to meet deadlines
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field highly desirable, but exceptional candidates without a Bachelor’s will still be considered.
- 5 + Years of related experience and/or training in a retail environment
- National experience highly desirable.
- Multi-lingual candidate highly desirable.
- Must be able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
