Job Summary
The Delivery Specialist is responsible for delivering medical cannabis products and educating patients on their use. The ideal candidate is self-directed, enjoys working in a dynamic startup environment, is passionate about the cannabis industry, and brings energy and enthusiasm to their work. Curaleaf is approved by the Florida Department of Health to produce and dispense medical cannabis, and is committed to responsible practices in the cultivation, production, and dispensing of natural cannabis medicine. It is the company’s goal to provide relief and enhance the quality of life for patients in need.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide prompt, secure, and professional delivery services to patients
- Coordinate deliveries working with customer service team
- Responsible for researching, seeking out answers, resolving complaints, and reporting patient complaints to ensure customer retention and satisfaction
- Work with customer service team to resolve product and service problems by clarifying the patient’s complaint; determining the cause of the problem; selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem; expediting correction or adjustment; following up to ensure resolution
- Maintain delivery vehicle
- Create an environment of “Patients First” with excellent customer service and phone skills
- Can recognize, understand and respond to the needs of patients with ease and compassion
- Keep current with all new company policy and procedures
- Exhibit polite driving etiquette
- Ring up sales on BioTrack Point of Sale System
- Dispense patient orders in the Medical Marijuana Use Registry
- Perform other related work as necessary
Qualifications and Skills
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must pass drug screening
- Must be able to pass a Level 2 criminal background check
- 1+ year customer service or security position experience
- Ability to efficiently plan routes
- Professional and winning attitude
- Ability to multi-task, think critically, and work efficiently and effectively
- Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA
- Ability to think critically and quickly to resolve issues as they arise
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work in a team environment and give and take honest and direct feedback
- Schedule is flexible and can work over-time hours
- Knowledge of the cannabis industry and rules & regulations or willingness to learn
- Performs basic vehicle checks and fluid levels
- Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience with BioTrackTHC is desirable
- Valid Florida Driver’s License
- Excellent driving record
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral), listening and empathizing
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- College Degree preferred, but not required
- Medical Cannabis Industry experience highly desirable, but not required
- Military experience is desirable.

Physical Requirements
Work may require prolonged sitting/standing, some bending, stooping and stretching. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a cash register, credit card machine, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing. Requires close vision with the ability to see color and adjust focus. Requires lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally.
