Role: Engineering Manager

Location: Los Angeles, CA

Summary: The Cannabis industry is one of the fastest growing sectors in history fueled by its medical applications as well as health & wellness benefits. But to date there has not been a method for dosing the quantity of THC and CBD (active compounds in cannabis) a user consumes through a vaporizer. Our client, a technology device company, has invented a patent-pending technology that can measure and quantify the precise dosage consumed by the user. Already their devices is being recognized as a technology leader in the cannabis industry. But this dosage breakthrough is just the beginning of a very long and exciting roadmap planned for the company. Our clients is looking to hire a key member of the team who will manage the engineering team as well as all the technical aspects of the product development process. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in electronic engineering, be able to manage a team of Electrical and Mechanical engineers and effectively lead projects from start to finish. We are looking for doers who are used to working side by side with team members and lead by example.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the team of mechanical and electronic engineers.
  • Hands-on design, development, test, and maintenance of hardware and firmware.
  • Recruit additional engineers to the team
  • Lead internal research and development of new technologies.
  • Take designs from conception - > prototypes - > production.
  • Work in coordination with domestic and international vendors.
  • Create and implement production schedules
  • Identify and track benchmarks for projects and individual team members.
  • Devise test plans and test schedules. Desired Skills & Experience:
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline. PE Certification and mechanical engineering experience a plus.
  • 5-8 years of experience in electronic prototyping, design and innovation experience
  • 5-8 years of experience in firmware architecture, design and execution
  • 5-8 years of experience with microprocessors (consumer electronics a plus).
  • 3 plus years managing engineering/technical teams in a manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of common engineering and development tools
  • Solid understanding of mechanical engineering.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $100,000.00 to $150,000.00 /year
