POSITION: MARKETING MANAGER

The Marketing Manager works closely with the Product Development, Sales and Production teams to ensure brand experience is consistent across product launches, retail penetration and online presence.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Create and execute sustainable and scalable campaigns geared toward both the consumer and budtender activating all aspects of the marketing mix; digital, print, collateral, PR, influencers etc., with a focus on social media platforms and corporate communications, website updates, marketing collateral, events management, promotional items, point of purchase displays and business cards.
  • Successfully launch new products from developing strategy to execution.
  • Successfully re-launch existing products from developing strategy to execution.
  • Coordinate all WA state marketing campaigns and develop marketing assets/collateral: channel-specific, and brand specific.
  • Conduct routine business marketing analysis including weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual business reviews with clear measurable metrics, benchmarks, statistics and factual data that allows tracking, progress and productivity level of the Marketing Department in relationship to the business.
  • Build in-depth consumer/professional, competitive and retailer knowledge and expertise.
  • Forecast and monitor sell-in and sell-through to meet and/or react to business needs.
  • Directly collaborate with Product Development, Sales & Production
  • Support to maximize and champion retail opportunities and activations.
  • Recommend new product development and positioning opportunities.
  • Improve the consumer and professional experience, product and ways of working.
  • Ensure brand consistency through all marketing channels.
  • Manage the marketing budget and marketing success via weekly monthly, quarterly and annual reporting with clear metrics.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

Must be timely, champion priorities and dynamics, and be extremely agile and consistent. Must enjoy and thrive in a fast moving, high energy, constantly evolving environment. Candidate should be able to support or lead projects, and have an inherent need for completion of projects and tasks. Other traits and requirements include:

  • 4-6 years brand and/or relationship management experience, preferably within food and/or beverage industry-related experience.
  • 2+ years of online marketing experience
  • Direct experience customizing and optimizing email marketing campaigns
  • Honed skill at creating, managing and/or outsourcing compelling content
  • Creativity balanced with a passion for strategic planning, data & logistics
  • Above average written and verbal communication skills, as well as forecasting.
  • Superior project & budget management skills
  • BA degree in Marketing, Communications and/or related field.
  • Computer literacy on Mac, Adobe Suite, MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Packaging and printing experience is a plus
  • Cannabis business and/or marketing knowledge is a plus
