Champlain Valley Dispensary (CVD) is seeking a full-time Marketing Manager.
This position provides daily management of the marketing function activities, including oversight of content and functionality of company websites. Recommends and carries out marketing activities, programs and events, and manages the marketing staff.

Summary of duties:
- Responsible for meeting departmental goals to promote CVD and Ceres products and services. Ensures the protection of CVD and Ceres brands.
- Plans, organizes and implements product promotions, customer surveys and touch-points, outreach efforts, and events. Analyzes the success, value and impact of such efforts.
- Manages the duties of marketing staff members who are responsible for product and branding, social media sites, and design/copywriting of materials. Responsible for hiring, scheduling, training, and evaluating employees. Responsible for coaching, counseling, and managing employees’ performance including corrective actions. Recommends pay changes and advancements. Reviews and approves employee time cards.
- Working with internal staff and the company’s website vendor, oversees the content of the company’s websites, including messaging, tone, alignment with brand, and general graphic design input. Ensures effective functionality of the website, including integration with other company systems; notifies website vendor to resolve functionality concerns.
- Recommends content, creates and administers electronic and other visual displays and materials at dispensary locations, aligning with company brands.
- Recommends content, creates and edits company newsletters.
- Works with advertising and promotion managers, carrying out necessary activities with those agencies.
Minimum required qualifications:
Education and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field, plus three years of relevant work experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of media production, communication and dissemination techniques and methods, including ways to inform and entertain via written, oral and visual means.
- Knowledge of business and management principles including planning, and resource allocation, leadership techniques, production methods and coordination of people of resources.
- Knowledge of or familiarization with Apple Mac based hardware and software, the Adobe Creative Suite, and basic website design skills. Experience with Search Engine Optimization highly desired.
- Knowledge of structure and content of English language, including meaning and spelling, rules of composition and grammar.
- Critical thinking, problem solving and active listening skills.
- Strong judgment and decision making skills.
- Must successfully complete a criminal record check with the Vermont Crime Information Center.
