JOB SUMMARY/DESCRIPTION:

A non-psychoactive CBD-centric alternative medicine supplement manufacturing, wholesale and retail product distribution company in Denver, Colorado is seeking an experienced Marketing Manager who can efficiently step in and manage all critical marketing functions for the organization.

This technical research, agriculture and natural cannabis health science company has a marketing environment that is continuously evolving so this dynamic opportunity is best suited for someone who can keep up with the company’s rapid growth in sales and product development. This person needs to lead and inspire his/her entire team to successfully deliver industry marketing efforts across the company wide platform.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The Basics:

  • BS/BA or MA Degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, Business, Design Communications, or a similar field.
  • Previous Role in agency or in-house agency with proven experience as a Product Marketing Manager, Brand Manager, Program Manager or similar.
  • History managing a small team preferred including agencies/outside resources
  • Experience working with field/operations teams
  • Thorough knowledge of marketing strategy and online tactics (e.g. integrated marketing campaigns).
  • Strong ability to create and manage marketing plans
  • Experience coordinating interdependencies of marketing department segments (content writing, web development, graphic design, labeling, sales slick development).
  • Familiarity with web design, content management systems and running social media and SEO/ PPC campaigns
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Exceptional organizational skills and extreme attention to detail
  • Visual and graphic creative acuity with strong design aesthetic and meticulous attention to detail
  • Savvy in design and/or copywriting
  • Creative and Analytical Mind that proves both Strong Qualitative and Quantitative Skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to take complex and abstract technical concepts and reduce them into attractive and emotion-evoking materials for the average consumer to understand.

The Detail:

  • Leads the management and execution of marketing strategies and programs that support the achievement of the company’s marketing goals and performance by creating and implementing fundamental action plans.
  • Partners with business, product development and operations teams to plan and coordinate strategic advertising/promotional marketing campaigns that assist in achieving revenue and business development goals.
  • Will oversee interdependent programs and execute tactical marketing activities with the design, web development, content, social media, product development, sales personnel to drive relevant parallel projects forward across all marketing channels and public facing mediums both B2B & D2C.
  • Understands how to use tools and analytics to tell a story of what is working, what’s not, and how to improve results.
  • Define area demographics and competitive offerings, review and interpret historical activity and future plans, develop marketing calendars, and assist in plans to increase traffic.
  • Oversee and assist in the creation and communication of each brand marketing message through internet, social media, review sites, signage and other means of general advertising.
  • Assist in the auditing, reporting and correcting of all marketing materials for correct product labels, misprint technical information, sales support, incorrect web content and overall brand messaging.
  • Monitor the cost effectiveness of marketing related expenditures by analyzing advertising and other paid for service activities and assist the owner in research and evaluation of cutting edge and innovative communications, marketing, and advertising outlets by utilizing internet, website, and other emerging technologies to create cost effective tactics for increasing traffic and product sales.
  • Be able to develop digital marketing campaigns through in-house initiatives and by leveraging third-party consultants. Specific experience in this area includes:
  • Advanced search engine optimization, pay-per-click management, email marketing and social media knowledge
  • Experienced in Google Analytics
  • Experience in e-Mail or Marketing Automation Systems
  • Study consumer products and translate technical health benefits into catchy and easy to understand buying drivers for consumers.
  • Will produce educational materials and infographics.
  • Follow and analyze cannabis market trends to position products ahead of the curve by developing product marketing strategies informed by competitive intelligence research and reporting that keeps the company relevant in a fast-paced and rapidly changing industry.
  • Manage multiple product marketing teams, each focused and specialized on unique product categories and customer demographics (Medical, Lifestyle, Beauty, Recreational, Veterinarian).
  • Review relevant customer feedback in an effort to evaluate projects and pivot accordingly.
  • Execute all material and logistical planning needs associated with conference/tradeshow, industry and non-industry social event planning to build awareness and keep the company relevant in the public’s mind.
  • Drive demand for product lines and lead outbound marketing activities. This person will be able to develop and implement the most profitable plan to position and promote our products.
  • Work directly with the owner to recommend and find critical personnel needed to grow the marketing team in all key areas.
