Flint Studios is looking for a summer intern to help us expand our LA studio and work on some amazing cannabis-related health, wellness and lifestyle brands, as well as capital funds, in California and Canada. We’re working with brands aiming to help people live healthy lives, from improving overall wellness to treating serious illnesses, such as epilepsy, cancer, AIDS, and more. This summer internship provides support to the studio account team, reporting to an Account Manager/Director. The marketing intern is responsible for the day-to-day duties of the studio, communicating closely with the larger team, and supporting current projects. The Ideal candidate has a creative studio/agency or industry background and experience in marketing or interested in developing their career in marketing in the cannabis industry.

Our job is to support your ability to deliver all projects in a clean and swift manner, to best manage and grow meaningful client relationships, to manage studio partnerships with grace and leverage those partnerships, and ensure you have the tools needed to deliver best-in-class client service each and every day.

Responsibilities

  • Act as marketing intern on the daily management of projects and related correspondence
  • Assist with day to day studio duties
  • Organize, update and format marketing collateral (project spreadsheets, project asset lists, etc.), while maintaining consistency and quality
  • Support studio manager on marketing communications components for assigned accounts and projects – including sourcing assets, facilitating approvals, coordinating with agencies/designers, managing implementation logistics
  • Work with creative team to ensure brand/product information is accurately updated in all presentations
  • Expense reporting
  • Assist with social media initiatives
  • Assist with and plan photoshoots/video shoots
  • Increase our support for providing assets and innovation information to our partners
  • Support planning and execution of brand activations; e.g. campaigns, events, experiences
  • Anticipate problems and react in a timely and efficient way
  • Overall brand ambassador for Flint Studios and our new brand

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of marketing experience, agency experience preferred
  • Driven, energetic, and goal-oriented with keen attention to detail and quality of deliverables
  • Autonomous and passionate
  • Strong knowledge of social media, including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and Snapchat
  • Work well under pressure and tight timelines, having solid stress management skills
  • Logical, work-oriented and analytical with excellent attention to detail
  • Flexible, curious, strategic thinker and a true problem solver, with capabilities of working on several projects and tasks at a time
  • Enthusiastic and team-spirited with excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated client relationship skills
  • Excellent communication skills (including writing, editing, and proofreading) are essential
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to prioritize and execute multiple assignments while working under tight deadlines
  • Overall go to person and social chameleon
  • Flexible working hours and the ability to work remotely if necessary
  • Proficient in Mac software (Pages, Keynote, Numbers)
  • Proficient in all MS Office programs and Google Suite (Docs, Spreadsheets, Calendar)
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Lightroom, Illustrator) is a plus
  • Working knowledge of CRM systems is a plus
