Marketing Intern
New York, New York
LeafLink seeks a Marketing Intern to join our rapidly growing team. You will work directly with our Senior Marketing Manager and Marketing Associate to drive the growth and engagement of our customer base. This role is highly collaborative and cross-functional, with dependencies on our Sales, Client Experience and Engineering teams. You need to be a self-starter who is comfortable with change, enjoys a fast pace, and can juggle many tasks and deadlines.
Your primary role will be assisting the Marketing Associate and Manager with conceptualizing and launching new social media and email campaigns, coordinating conferences and events, and creating marketing materials and content. You’ll bring creative campaign ideas to the table while using analytics to test and refine performance in alignment with company goals.
Experience Needed:
- Full-time university student graduating in 2019 or 2020
- Previous internship experience is preferred.
- Internship experience in the B2B, SaaS, or e-commerce space or work with social media, email marketing and/or content creation is a plus
- Desired majors: Marketing, Media, Communications, English, Business, Business Technology, Liberal Arts
What You’ll Do:
- Conceptualize and execute social media campaigns, contribute to marketing and social media analytics reporting using Iconosquare, Mailchimp and possibly Kissmetrics
- Curate, schedule, organize, and regularly post to 2 or more Instagram Accounts using Iconosquare
- Engage with customers through social media and leverage data for insights on how and why our customers hear about and join LeafLink
- Regularly update other social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter to ensure LeafLink’s online presence achieves brand goals
- Work with our designer and team to update and create new marketing collateral, including the company website, sales materials, and swag
- Write blog posts and platform announcements
- Create and monitor email marketing campaigns
- Coordinate company events & expos, which will require some administrative and operational work
- Assist the Marketing Associate and Marketing Manager with a variety of administrative tasks
Who You Are:
- A master of execution
- An excellent communicator, preferably with experience writing blog articles or marketing copy
- In-depth knowledge of all social media platforms and their marketing capabilities
- Highly organized, punctual, and dedicated
- Love planning for events and expos, fast-learner, question-asker
- You have the ability to learn quickly and skillfully maneuver many tasks with constantly shifting priorities and deadlines
- Experience in a startup, email and social marketing, and conference planning is preferred but not required
- You are an eternal optimist, positive thinker, and lover of dad jokes
