Swell Farmacy is a rapidly growing medical cannabis company with several dispensaries in the Phoenix area. We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate, experienced marketing professional to join our company. This role will play a key part in the success and growth of our state-licensed medical cannabis program.
We are looking for a full-time Marketing Director who can increase awareness of our brand and help to drive revenue. The position will be based in our corporate Phoenix office, and will report to the President of Arizona. The Marketing Director will also have responsibility for the Nevada market, and will have dotted line reporting to the President of Nevada as well as to the SVP of Marketing at our headquarters in Massachusetts.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic marketing plans in order to achieve objectives
- Manage marketing budgets
- Plan and oversee advertising and promotion activities including print, digital media and in-store
- Analyze marketing and sales results, and take corrective action to achieve objectives within designated budgets
- Conduct any necessary local market research, and adjust marketing strategy and messaging to engage customers and create long-term loyalty
- Monitor competitor products, sales and marketing activities
- Establish and maintain relationships with local influencers and key strategic partners
- Develop and present marketing activity reports
- Maintain a consistent brand image throughout all product offerings, promotional materials, and events
- Represent company at trade association meetings and community outreach events
- Review and analyze performance against programs, and share insights from the results
- Develop social media strategies and content for Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to help communicate brand objectives, build loyalty, and deliver sales objectives
- Manage social media channels, including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram
- Develop creative & copy for posts which will increase engagement and build our following, in collaboration with the Massachusetts team
- Monitor effectiveness of campaigns and develop audience insights
- Provide quarterly reporting on social media analytics
- Create e-blasts to communicate news and promotions
- Develop content ideas, images and graphics for the website, and share them with the team in MA
- Keep digital assets up to date on corporate shared asset library
- Serve as a corporate photographer, as needed
- Manipulate images (sizing, coloring, etc.), as needed for optimized use
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or business administration
- 10+ years of marketing experience, especially in a regulated industry such as food & beverage, alcohol, or biotech industries
