Job Summary:

Kush Bottles is looking for a Marketing Designer, reporting to the Marketing Creative Lead, with a focus on balancing print and digital marketing campaigns with internal brand building. We are looking for experience in editorial print media and working with product focused marketing. Kush Bottles is a fast paced, collaborative focused environment from planning concepts by studying our rapidly growing cannabis + CBD market, packaging and regulations to coordinating with outside agencies and fabrication & printing services as necessary.

This is an ongoing freelance position that is available for remote work, with potential for full time. Our main office is located in Orange County, California. We are not looking to relocate but remote working is available with the right skill set but must have availability to visit our main office when necessary.

This position will be primarily responsible for executing designs with supervision from the Marketing Creative Lead on a series of active projects and branding needs. It is imperative that the designer is able to work creatively on tight timelines. The primary duties will be creating a wide range of graphics and layouts for web campaigns, product manuals, social media graphic assets, editorial design & photography, and product mock ups.

Examples of Essential Functions:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Effective Time management skills with experience with tight deadlines
• Self-motivated individual that is able to give and receive constructive criticism and art direction
• Understanding of contemporary social media and marketing avenues digitally and in print
• Identify trends & insights and provide creations based on our evolving market
• Collaborate with procurement and marketing teams to support our content marketing from social media assets and informational sales materials
• Creating proactive design systems for optimal collaboration between internal and external teams
• Resourceful and adaptive with strong work ethic and meticulous attention to detail
• Ability to work remotely with video call-ins and phone calls but capable to be onsite at our office on occasion
• Ability to work with remote teams at our multiple facilities

Qualifications Guidelines

Education/training/experience:

• Portfolio submission in the form of a personal website or online profile i.e. Behance, Dribble, Cargo, Tumblr, Instagram etc.
• 3+ years' experience in creative, advertising, or marketing design
• Bachelor's Degree in Design or a related discipline
• Previous role in design/advertising/marketing agencies or freelancers are welcome
• Experience with print shops and fabricators, creating displays for trade shows and other external advertising

Knowledge of:

• Solid experience with Dropbox, Microsoft 365, and the Adobe Creative Cloud suite including InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop. Our designers work primarily on Apple OS
• Up-to-date with the latest treads and best practices for online advertising, marketing and design
• Strength in information design such as product manuals, spec sheets, instructions and educational materials
• Setting up files for print, digital and offset

Physical Standards:

• This position requires frequently sitting, standing, reaching, walking, and operating a computer workstation
• Must have finger dexterity, ability to use keyboard/ten key
• Able to participate in the environments standing, moving onsite at events and tradeshows
