The Role As a Digital & Social Media Strategist, you will oversee our growing portfolio of online assets. A successful Digital & Social Media Strategist excels at social media strategy, publishing, creative writing, and will have passion for the cannabis industry. We’re seeking a passionate storyteller, strategic thinker, skilled communicator and executor who has managed various social channels. You will have a deep understanding of social voice, tone and style that is true to the cannabis culture. You’re an aficionado on platforms like Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat and Twitter, but you’re always thinking about what’s “next.” This is an opportunity to shape the voice of the rapidly evolving cannabis industry. Buckle in, the rocket ship is taking off. Responsibilities
Develop and execute a winning social media strategy that helps GTI and RISE achieve its audience engagement and growth goals
Engage customers at different points of the marketing funnel through social media to develop both our brand and retail goals
Support Brand & Retail Team in development and execution of new product development communication strategies and tactics with sales for wholesale and retail business
Support new business development and content marketing activities including SEO/SEM
Communicate and drive/expand awareness of GTI corporate brand, its partners, leaders, thought leadership, and culture across key social media networks: LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook
Author and edit communications to promote GTI including, case studies, blog posts, thought leadership, etc
Continuously monitor ROI and translate channel / campaign data into actionable insights
Create and maintain a content calendar ensuring consistent and engaging content
Conduct periodic competitive audits & implement new/reactive plans as needed
Drive partnership community engagement through promotion of success and opportunities in GTI markets Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or related degree
Minimum 5 years of social media and campaign management, publishing, writing and content creation required (brand or agency)
Passion, energy, and enthusiasm for social media and expertise of all social platforms
Superior working knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, You Tube, Twitter, Pinterest, Snapchat and other emerging platforms
Current with pop culture, entertainment news and industry trends
Ability to write copy that is both emotional and informational
Confident in publishing copy and content to mass audiences
Advanced skills in Hootsuite, Google Analytics, Zendesk, or similar tools
Ability to successfully organize, prioritize and manage multiple projects under strict deadlines
Strong collaboration and project management skills with an ability to work effectively with different people within an organization
Highly motivated, self-directed, innovative and able to work independently or among teams with keen judgement, common sense and resourcefulness
Adapts and thrives in a demanding, start-up, fast-paced environment
Operates with a high level of professionalism and integrity, including dealing with confidential information Additional Requirements
