POSITION OVERVIEW
Primary Care Practice located in Newburgh, NY is seeking a non-restricted licensed practical nurse to work with a team of nurses and physician to deliver high quality medical services. The primary care practice also provides medical services related to addiction as well as medical cannabis management. No previous experience is necessary, however, the candidate must be highly organized and punctual.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborates with health care team to fulfill responsibilities, meet clinical performance objectives, and resolve any clinical related matters
- Responsible for running and tracking clinical reports as directed
- Ensures that all clinical correspondence via fax, mail, or electronic messages are addressed and distributed to the appropriate contact
- Maintains patient flow for practitioners
- Ensures that all laboratory specimens are collected, processed, and documented
- Provide patient education, properly document, perform vitals, therapeutic injections, and other medical procedures as ordered by providers
- Manages prescription refill requests and performs prior authorizations for medications as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduate from an accredited school for Licensed Practical Nursing and Licensed/Registered in New York State as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Must have strong communication & organizational skills.
- Must have strong commitment to a team dynamic as well as the ability to take initiative
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus!
