JOB SCHEDULE: Part-Time capacity to start, 2-4 shifts per week. Overnight scheduling required, to include occasional Fridays. Commercial driver’s license not required.
SALARY: $16.00 per hour
SC Laboratories is an analytical laboratory based in Santa Cruz, California specializing in safety and quality assurance testing for the Cannabis Industry. We are expanding our team and are positioned at the top of an emerging industry. We are seeking to add on to our collaborative team and at this time are focusing on hiring reliable, self-motivated individual to serve as a driver for our Northern California region. Using assigned Company van, typical driving route will be roundtrip from Santa Cruz to Bakersfield.

- Must be comfortable working with and around cannabis products
- Must possess a clean driving record for the last 6 years and have reliable transportation to and from work
- All employment offers will be contingent upon successful completion of a background check, to include a Motor Vehicle Report(MVR) which must be clear to proceed
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Following time sensitive routes, safely delivers samples to our facilities or drop locations within California regions and collects / delivers payment when appropriate
- Able to easily adapt to driving long distances in urban as well as highway environment, with the ability to maintain composure in traffic situations
- Comprehend and maintain compliance with state regulations and quality control protocol
- Will drive daily round-trip routes in a Company van, starting and ending at the same assigned location
- Loads products into vehicle and ensures products will arrive in pristine condition
- Consistently meet delivery schedule standards
- Operating a light duty van and insuring great Customer Service
- Loading and unloading of company vehicle
- Perform other activities as assigned by management
REQUIREMENTS
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Previous long-distance driving / delivery experience is required
- Must have a valid driver's license; must have and maintain a clean DMV driving record
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance
- Must demonstrate a passion for getting things done the right way, display confidence with offering suggestions to enhance process efficiency, and the ability to take direction well
- Skills: Read, write, and speak English, use of email applications; must be able to program and follow driving navigation software
- Abilities: Follow written and verbal instructions; work effectively within collaborative team
- Other characteristics: Strong attention to detail; must possess excellent planning skills
- Must be able to repeatedly lift up to 50 lbs.
- Sitting for long periods of time; may also be subject to bending, stooping, pushing and pulling
REQUIRED EDUCATION
- High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) and have completed at least 1 year of previous long-distance driving experience. Preferred: Completed 2 years college or university education, and / or completed 2 or more years previous delivery driving experience
