POSITION SUMMARY:
The Logistics Technician is responsible for executing packaging and labeling tasks under the direction of the Logistics Manager and in accordance with State laws and regulations. The Logistics Technician provides support for all delivery packaging and labeling activities including cannabis, extract and infused products. Additionally, the Logistics Technician is responsible for the general sanitation and upkeep of the facility.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS:
- 2 + years of experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, production or similar field.
- Ability to delegate task.
- Ability to maintain focus in an active environment.
- Ability to make decisions as necessary with oversight when needed.
- Ability to regularly stand, sit, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs. for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing and challenging environment.
- Accurate data-entry and record keeping.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and attention to detail.
- Have a strong team ethic with the ability to work independently.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Intermediate proficiency with windows-based software and inventory applications.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Must work well independently with minimal supervision.
- Previous experience in logistics, inventory or shipping/receiving positions preferred.
- Proficiency with inventory tracking systems.
- Solid mathematical skills.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and time management abilities.
- Superior customer service skills.
- Thorough understanding of medical marijuana laws and how they apply to packaging and labeling of finished goods.
CORE JOB DUTIES:
- Assist with receiving incoming mail, packages and raw supply shipments. Unload and stock and disseminate to the proper party, as needed.
- Assists with inventory-tracking procedures with management.
- Complete inventory procedure using company inventory tracking system and respond to any discrepancies by notifying the location’s management and investigating reasons for the discrepancy.
- Conduct physical inventory counts.
- Coordinate with the management and sales teams to ensure accurate information and documentation is maintained at all times.
- Ensure compliance with all state laws and regulations regarding inventory, packaging and labeling.
- Pick, pack and prepare finished goods, labels and reports for delivery, per the customer specifications.
- Responsible for executing the delivery packaging and labeling procedures for all finished product according to Nevada Business Services Group procedures as well as State and local laws and regulations.
- Regular and thorough cleaning of the facility restrooms, break room and common areas.
- Gathering and removal of all waste from receptacles.
- Sweeping, mopping and vacuuming of all flooring throughout the facility.
- Assist with answering the entry and delivery doors, and logging guest visits appropriately.
