Job Description:

Our client is a fast-growing, technologically advanced, LED lighting company serving the commercial indoor horticultural market. The founders are thought leaders in Lighting, Electrical Engineering, Plant Biology, Thermal Management, and Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) with extensive patents and numerous products for commercial indoor and greenhouse farms, universities, OEMs, and government research/NASA. The products are commercial-grade and have the best performance and durability in the industry.

Position responsibilities

· Grow the New England region by developing new customers for the suite of lighting products and solutions.

· Manage all aspects of the customer relationship from initial contact, lighting design and specification, negotiation, to sale and the ongoing, long-term relationship.

· Marshall company and partner experts to develop the best solutions for challenging customer needs and issues.

· Be a strong advocate for meeting and exceeding customer requirements and achieving high levels of customer satisfaction.

· Utilize designated CRM to keep track of leads, shepherding prospects through needs analysis, preparing the bid, and closing the sale.

· Prepare and maintain regional sales forecasts.

· Present company products and services convincingly, with confidence and strong command of benefits, trade-offs and competitive advantages.

· Meet and exceed sales quotas.

· Participate in regional and national trade shows.

Preferred Candidate Profile

· Strong sales background in technical products and solutions.

· Experience with horticultural and/or lighting related products, construction, HVAC.

· Self-motivated, excellent people and communication skills, and creative problem solver.

· Has a passion for the role and industry.

· Enthusiasm and drive to solve difficult customer needs, in the context of a young company.

· Experience working out of a home office.

· Strong project management, organizational skills and keen attention to detail.

· Currently living in New England

· Experience in or knowledge of the cannabis industry.

· Team player, committed to the team’s success.

· Ability to travel up to 35% in your region, and occasional business trips outside your region.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $80,000.00 to $90,000.00 /year
