Lighting Applications Specialist
Illumitex a world-wide leader in the horticultural LED lighting market specializing in lighting for cannabis, vertical farms, greenhouses
and contained environment agriculture. Our patented horticulture LED lights are tuned to plants' photosynthetic needs and will help our
customers save energy and increase yields.
Horticulture Applications Specialist will report to The Customer Experience Leader and provides support to the Sales and Marketing
Teams. Position will be located in Austin, Texas.
Responsibilities-
- Performing and reviewing point-by-point photometric lighting layouts for horticulture
- Receiving, prioritizing and processing incoming requests for photometric layouts.
- Completing lighting layouts using Dialux and AGI32 software.
- Assisting in the evaluation of completed layouts and adjusting as necessary.
- Communicating with customers, engineers, and architects regarding project specific requirements and restrictions.
- Verifying compliance with customer and/or city requirements.
- Determining the most efficient resolution for the customer’s problems and specifying correct product to purchase based upon
application needs.
Minimum Qualifications-
- Associate degree required with a minimum of 4 years of Applications work experience.
- Dialux or AGI32 experience required.
- Ability to read and understand Engineering drawings required.
- Detailed oriented, organized and capable of working efficiently with minimal or no guidance.
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to communicate professionally with a wide variety of people and backgrounds while demonstrating a customer service
focused commitment and sense of urgency.
- Strong decision making, and problem-solving skills required.
- Must demonstrate strong analytical ability.
- Superior computer applications skills with Microsoft Office products, databases and CRM, including the ability to utilize
spreadsheet models to track, analyze and interpret cost, revenue and profit of potential and actual orders.
- Strong understanding of proposal generation and financial analytics.
- Awareness of the purpose and value of scheduling and ERP software
- Demonstrated leadership with the ability to support a team navigating a fast paced and high-volume workload.
- Ability to work effectively, independently and in a team environment.
- Flexibility in working hours required, evening and weekend work may be required.

Salary Range - $45,000-60,000/annually to commensurate with experience
