Job Description:

Summary/Objective

This position is responsible for assisting the Licensing Manager in submission and maintenance of regulatory licenses for all MedMen assets.

Essential Functions

Learn cannabis licensing requirements across applicable jurisdictions
Assist licensing manager in owning licensing process and follow up with cross-functional teams
Maintain cannabis license tracking systems to ensure timely preparation of license renewal applications
Maintain renewal calendars for all applications in new and current jurisdictions
Participate in weekly licensing meetings and provide regular updates to senior management on the status of existing licenses
Draft and deliver memos on licensing requirements as needed
Establish and maintain relationships with mapping partners in different jurisdictions
Handle various licensing related requests from management on an ad-hoc basis (i.e., license information, zoning inquiries) in tandem with Licensing Manager

Required Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree
Licensing experience in a highly regulated industry is preferred
Working in an environment with tight deadlines and overlapping deliverables
High degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

Ability to draft succinct memos, business correspondences, and procedures
Cannabis regulation and/or product knowledge is a plus
1-3 years of experience is a plus

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel

This position may require periodic travel.
