Position Summary:
We are seeking an energetic individual with strong communication, leadership and operational skills to fill a Lead Operator on our Dispensary team. In this role, you will be responsible for: assisting with daily production demands, coordinating resources to meet deadlines, participating in continuous improvement activities, training other employees and other tasks as assigned.
Hours: 2nd Shift, Monday - Friday, 2:30pm - 11:00pm
Responsibilities include:

Perform manufacture of cell culture products in accordance to current good manufacturing practices.

Deploy resources when and where necessary to ensure production schedule is attained.

Review and maintain SOP’s, forms and work instructions and update as required.

Carry out on the job training of other team members as required.

Support and initiate quality, safety, compliance improvement initiatives.

Monitor and ensure all personnel are following safe practices and SOP’s.

Identify opportunities and implement productivity improvements.

Coach others on procedures, team work, etc, and lead by example, exemplify positive behavior.

Facilitate communication between team and Supervisors/Management.

Calibrate/operate semi-automated and automated manufacturing equipment.

Weigh, measure and check raw materials to assure batches manufactured contain proper materials and quantities.

Maintain records to comply with regulatory requirements, GMP’s and standard operating procedures.

Perform in-process testing to assure batches meet specification.

Maintain equipment and rooms in proper operation condition and proper cleanliness requirements.

Perform activities in controlled environment up to and including classified clean room conditions.

May be required to perform other related duties as required and/or assigned.
Experience:
-
Requires a minimum of 4 years’ experience in a GMP manufacturing environment, 2 years’ experience in a GMP manufacturing environment with Associate’s degree, or equivalent experience and knowledge.

Demonstrated leadership capabilities are preferred.
Working Conditions:
-
Works mainly in a manufacturing environment; is required to lift up to 45 lbs. and may be required to stand for long periods of time while performing duties.

Must be able to work safely with materials and equipment.
-
Must be able to work overtime and flexible shifts.
-
Various levels of gowning are required.
-
May also work in an office environment.
