Job Description:

Summary
The Lead Cultivation Associate is primarily responsible for overseeing the vegetative, flowering and propagation operations. The Lead Cultivation Associate is also responsible for supervising all subordinate staff tasks by ensuring all company policies and procedures are adhered to by Team Members. Training and motivating all Cultivation Associates in aspects such as measuring pH and ppm fluctuations, proper pesticide application, accurately recording all wet trim weights and maintaining the company standard for high quality product.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain a friendly, courteous and compassionate demeanor at all times
  • Adhere to company mission statement and core values, while maintaining high ethical standards and professionalism
  • Responsible for upholding company warehouse procedures
  • Efficiently trim and de-fans plants (wet trim)
  • Responsible for accurately weighing and recording all wet trim weights
  • Report environmental changes, measure pH and ppm fluctuations
  • Train, inspire and motivate all Team Members
  • Apply nutrients to reservoirs and monitor quality of plant work
  • Ensure quality of plants in assigned zone
  • Monitor changes in plant health through harvest and promptly report any issues
  • Apply foliar and drench pesticides when necessary, wearing the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness in order to promote quality
  • Work in a timely manner and strives to increase productivity
  • Facilitate the organization of the warehouse and coordinate sanitization efforts
  • Occasionally assist with processing procedures (breaking down plants, wet trim, dry trim, etc.)
  • Responsible for maintaining high quality product
  • All other job duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education

  • High School diploma or General Education Development (GED) required

Training

  • Must maintain current knowledge and adhere to all policy and regulations of the Colorado Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED); Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE), and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), The Green Solution and TGS Management
  • Must be forklift certified
  • Must be private applicator certified for pesticide use

Required Skills & Experience

  • Excellent mathematical, language and reasoning skills
  • Must use plant symptom ID
  • Knowledge and familiarity cannabis cultivation

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Understanding of Colorado marijuana laws, MED regulations, and CDPHE requirements; previous marijuana industry experience preferred with priority given to candidates with experience in CO licensed facilities
  • Cannabis cultivation operations experience a plus

Other Requirements Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to individually lift up to 50 lbs
  • Must be able to sit, stand, stoop, crouch, reach and lift for long periods of time
  • Must be able to handle labor centric work

Work Requirements

  • Must be able to work in a cultivation environment with moderate to loud noise level
  • Must be able to work in manufacturing or production facilities with moderate to loud noise level and changing working conditions. May require use of safety equipment or personal protective equipment, as needed
  • Must be able to acquire MED Support badge ($150 Fee to State of CO) prior to beginning employment
