POSITION SUMMARY:
The Lead Cannabis Sales Associates welcome customers with an exceptional service mindset and actively engages and assists customers through seeking to understand preferences and product needs. Cannabis Sales Associates provide guidance and general cannabis information to customers regarding products, product characteristics, specials, and pricing. Additionally, the Lead Dispensary Sales Associate provides direct support and operational oversight of Cannabis Sales Associates during work shifts. Lead Cannabis Sales Associates are hardworking, enthusiastic, knowledgeable about cannabis products and operations, possess exceptional communication skills, and have a strong customer service focus.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Welcome visitors and customers by warmly greeting them, in person or on the telephone, and apply relationship/rapport building principles and best practices to advance a positive experience and on-going relationship with customer.
- Provide customers cannabis information and educational resources regarding strains, methods of administration, effects, and precautions related to their consumption of marijuana products.
- Operate a cash register. Itemize and total purchases by recording prices, departments, taxable and nontaxable items.
- Accurately process payments from customers; issue receipts, refunds, credits, and provide customers cash change when necessary. Assist in maintaining a safe, clean and professional working environment. Balance cash drawer by auditing cash at beginning and end of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change.
- Establish, develop, and maintain relationships with current and prospective customers to generate business for dispensary.
- Manage oversight and chain-of-custody of all products within assigned workstation. Weigh and record product quantities with precision and accuracy.
- Ensure sales floor and lobby / customer waiting rooms are clean and well-maintained at all times.
- Assist with maintaining current dispensary menus (print & digital) and promotions (print & digital).
- Perform regular inventory audits and record product quantities with precision and accuracy.
- Assist dispensary leadership with on-boarding and training of employees on an as needed basis.
- Manage and communicate dispensary employee work schedules for Dispensary Sales Associates and Receptionist.
