Green Leaf Lab is a Portland based company looking for an enthusiastic Laboratory Technician who is willing to start with an established business in an analytical laboratory environment.
Position:
The laboratory technician will assist in the day to day upkeep and support of the laboratory by cleaning laboratory equipment; assisting with sample homogenization; restocking and verifying laboratory supply inventory; disposing of completed sample material; and sample preparation and analysis.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a science related field or equivalent experience in a fast paced, detail oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Set up, run and troubleshoot GC and/or HPLC systems.
- Experience in an analytical lab environment.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Proven organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to formulate and clearly communicate ideas, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work both independently with little guidance, and within a collaborative group environment.
- Ensure test equipment is clean, maintained and in good working order.
- Maintain a safe, clean and sanitary work area.
- Experience ordering supplies and maintain the proper laboratory functions.
- Ability to lift 40 -- 60 lbs.
