Role Overview

The Laboratory Operations Manager will be responsible for managing the entire operation of a large-scale state-of-the-art laboratory manufacturing pharmaceutical-grade cannabis medicine. The candidate will be responsible for managing a team of qualified personnel to develop and manufacture a wide variety of cannabis medicines including: tinctures, oils, concentrates, vapor cartridges, distillate, capsules and other products that are developed by the company. Qualifications :

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in chemistry, biology, engineering or related field
  • At least three years of laboratory management experience
  • Experience operating and maintaining laboratory machinery
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Startup experience preferred
  • Strong computer skills including analytical or organizational software
  • Preferably experienced with a highly regulated laboratory or GMP manufacturing environment

Responsibilities (Include, but not limited to):

  • Manage all aspects of laboratory operations including compliance, scheduling, forecasting and performance analysis
  • Manage all laboratory personnel including highly-trained technicians, compliance associates and laborers
  • Work with compliance officer and state officials to maintain compliance through detailed tracking, record keeping and periodic inspections
  • Maintain a clean, safe and efficient laboratory environment adhering to state compliance regulations and internal SOPs
  • Oversee quality control of entire manufacturing pipeline of all products and develop and adapt SOPs as necessary
  • Provide the Chief Scientific Officer with regular updates and reports tracking personnel, scheduling, production, quality control and overall operations
  • Work closely with sales and distribution teams to forecast production needs
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures and oversee equipment maintenance
  • Maintain relationships with vendors
