Job Title: Laboratory Manager

Department: Laboratory

Reports to: Science Director

Summary/Objective: Under the direct supervision of the Science Director, the Laboratory Manager serves as an integral member of the laboratory operations team and will ensure the lab technicians correctly process samples for various tests conducted in the lab as well as assist with machinery operation.

Essential Functions: Follows and ensures lab safe environment and safety procedures. Maintaining document system in compliance with ISO 17025. Manages Laboratory technicians. Learns and keeps up to date with technical developments, testing procedures and equipment. Manages equipment Preventative maintenance agreements and service requirements. Ensures sample results arrive to the client in timely manner. Supervises a team of laboratory technicians.

Required Education and Experience:

• Must be 21 Years of Age, and must have either

• (1) Earned a master’s degree in biological, chemical, agricultural, environmental, or related sciences from an accredited college or university with 2-4 years of laboratory management experience; or
• (2) Earned a Bachelor’s degree in biological, chemical, agricultural, environmental, or related sciences from an accredited college or university, plus at least 5 years of full-time practical experience. * Must be comfortable working with cannabis
• Experience in a food or environmental testing lab is preferred

Compensation: $25-40/hr, or $50-80k per year, depending on experience
