Encore Labs is an approved (by the Bureau of Cannabis Control) cannabis laboratory in California. We are seeking an experienced laboratory director to join our fast growing team. Our laboratory focuses on the following areas of testing at the moment:
Cannabinoid Testing
Pesticides
Residual Solvents
Microbiology
Laboratory Director will lead our team in all departments which include overseeing lab personnel, updating SOP's, analyzing analytical instruments, and in addition approving test results relating to both California Compliance and Quality Assurance testing.
Preference for a laboratory director to have experience in LC/MS/MS, HPLC, and GC analytical instruments.
Qualification & Skills
-Must have experience in an ISO accredited laboratory
-Experienced in writing SOP and method validation
-Proficient in LC/MS/MS and HPLC with a preference of GC and Microbiology experience
-Knowledge of ChemStation
-At least 3 years of managerial skills
-Must pass LiveScan background
-Strong communication, problem solving, and organizational skills
-Excellent computer skills
-Worked at a cannabis laboratory is a plus
Responsibilities
-Oversee daily laboratory operations
-TAT (turn around time) management
-Train and mentor lab personnel
-Update SOP's as needed
-Analyze and authorize test results for California Compliance and Quality Assurance Testing
-Update laboratory according to ISO standards
-Enforce safety and health precautions
-Maintain and record all costs as well as product/chemical storage
-Ability to solve technical and hardware issues with analytical instruments
