Lab Technician - qPCR Specialist

CB Labs, a pioneer in standardized testing of medical and adult use cannabis we currently has an exciting opportunity for a Lab Technician specializing in qPCR functions and meathods . LAB TECH RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Follows and ensures strict lab safe environment
• Produces reliable and precise data to support scientific investigation
• Prepares samples for chemical analysis
• Calibrates measuring equipment on a daily basis
• Measures and records data
• Operates standard lab equipment (i.e. scale, centrifuge, pipets, vortex, sonicator)
• Carries out routine tasks accurately and following strict methodologies and SOP’s
• Other job duties may be assigned
• Maintains client records. Protects client confidentiality by adhering to state and federal privacy laws
• LAB TECH QUALIFICATIONS:
• MUST BE OVER 21 YEARS OLD
• working knowledge of qPCR instruments.
• Satisfactory progress towards science degree or completion of 1 year of chemistry/biology or related science lab courses with completed lab safety orientation
• Knowledge of OSHA, or HIPAA regulation, and HAZMAT guidelines preferred
• Experience wit basic laboratory tasks such as pipetting
• Know basic mathematic calculations related to chemistry (algebra, calculus)
• Experience with software applications such as MS Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
• Be meticulous and detail-oriented
• Ability to read, speak, write, understand and follow English verbal and written instructions
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team and/or independently
• Ability to perform tasks in a high volume production environment
• Capable of organizing multiple tasks, using time management skills
