Lab Technician
We are seeking a hard-working and highly motivated Lab Technician with strong abilities to become a part of a fun and dynamic team in the rapidly-growing cannabis industry throughout the United States.
The Lab Technician role is a vital one within the company and requires a multifaceted skill set. Expectations include attention to detail, organization, and professionalism. This position is integral to completing the day to day operations. An ability to work across a variety of tasks oftentimes in stressful situations is an essential attribute for the successful candidate.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Execution of Standard molecular biology techniques including but not limited by: PCR, Gel Electrophoresis, Capillary sequencing, Ligation, Digestion with restrictrase, transformation of E.Coli, transformation of yeasts, mini and maxi preps of DNA extraction, ELISA.
- Learn and execute established SOPs
- Weighing out samples, performing chemical extraction, dilution of volatile solvents for High Performance Liquid Chromatography and Gas Chromatography analysis.
- Processing high sample throughput
- Operate automated microbiological testing equipment
- Cleaning and maintenance of lab and equipment including but not limited to incubators, laminar flow hood, fume hood, homogenizer, sonicators, microbiology medium prep, and autoclaving.
- Person will work with and must be comfortable working with Cannabis
- Analyzed sample disposal / proper chemical waste
- Good lab practice including wearing PPE
- Organization of supplies
- Other laboratory and clerical duties such as data entry, filing, or supply inventory may be assigned by lab staff as needed.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- MUST BE: Execution of Standard molecular biology techniques including but not limited by: PCR, Gel Electrophoresis, Ligation, Digestion with restrictrase, a transformation of E.Coli, DNA extraction. (do not contact if doesn’t have this experience)
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Previous experience with Lab Information Management systems is appreciated.
- MicrosoftOffice (Word, Excel)
- Google Sheets & Google Docs
- Making mathematical calculations quickly and accurately
- Knowing and fluently apply standard formulas for concentrations, dilutions.
- Fast learning skills are must be.
- Quick learning how to use a new software required.
- Experience in primers design, DNA sequencing analysis, Endonuclease restriction map analysis, DNA Cloning design skills are highly appreciated.
- Understanding and following verbal and written instructions; work independently in the absence of supervision.
- Communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Previous experience working in a laboratory environment Associates Degree in Science or 2 years of college course work or completed Bachelors of Science Degree
- 1-2 years of previous academic or commercial lab experience
- Must be able to work independently and strongly with a team
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced setting, multitask, and prioritize assignments
- Must have good communication, computer, typing, and organizational skills

We do not cover relocation expenses for this position. We prefer to hire local candidates living close to 94710 zip code.

Salary: $30,000.00 to $45,000.00 /year
