We are looking for a team player with experience in the cannabis industry to join our packaging team in the role of Lab Technician/Extractor. The ideal candidate has experience with a variety of extraction methods and distillation methods, extensive knowledge of the cannabis industry in Colorado, and can manage competing priorities successfully. Working knowledge of regulations and compliance for the cannabis industry is a must. Position reports to Production Manager. Hours are 9-5, M-F.
Essential Functions:
- Perform VTA distillation runs
- Operate Spray Vap solvent evaporator system
- Operate Ethos ethanol extraction system
- Maintain batch records and other documentation
- Follow all safety guidelines and help to maintain a safe working environment
- Proficient with technical instrumentation operation, maintenance, and repair
- Additional Requirements :
- Colorado driver’s license
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
- Must pass required background checks
Minimum Education and Experience :
- 1-3 years’ experience in a lab setting, analytical laboratory preferred.
- Experience in METRC and Microsoft office suite of products.
- Strong knowledge of lab setting requirements.
- Ability to work independently, manage projects and meet deadlines.
- Experience in short path distillation.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to lift, carry and balance up to 50lbs and sometimes 75lbs with help, perform all commercially typical cleaning requirements.
