Odin Lab Technician
Objective
Support the efficient production of quality cannabis oil
Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain the cleanliness of the lab and surrounding area
- Assist with trim intake, weighing and storage
- Operate small scale CO2 extractor as needed for pesticide testing purposes
- Handle, grind and bag cannabis in preparation for extraction
- Maintain and operate extraction and distillation equipment
- Perform winterization and filtration processes on cannabis oil
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) for all assigned work
- Contribute to continuous process improvement of lab processes and systems
Other Expectations
- Generally expected/scheduled to work 40+ hours/week
- Excellent follow-through on assignments and projects, drive to completion
- Complete special project requests as needed such as bulk oil pulls, mixing
- Awareness and sensitivity to the value of extraction and lab equipment
- Willing to do any work that needs to be done, as assigned
Metrics/Success Criteria
- Daily and weekly production versus goal
- Accuracy of product weights recorded for trim, raw and finished oil
- Personal productivity – minimize of idle time, maintain a high pace of work
- Follow OHA, OLCC, OSHA workplace standards
Requirements
- Strong work ethic
- Strong mechanical aptitude. Able to understand underlying principles of equipment operation
- Basic chemistry understanding, interest and aptitude
- Ability to trouble-shoot and resolve problems quickly and methodically
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and objectives and still meet deadlines
- Knowledge of cannabis industry a plus
Compensation
Hourly: $14-$18/hour depending on experience and performance to objectives
Paid bi-monthly
