The functions of this position are to effectively run a hydrocarbon extraction machine in line with the company procedures, State regulations, and equipment manufacturer operational guidelines. The technician should know how to effectively record all extraction run information. The technician should be able to utilize degasification ovens in such a manner that would leave end product under desired PPM levels of residual solvents and accurately record oven times and flips.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure hydrocarbon extraction equipment runs/perform preventive maintenance.
- Fill extraction tubes while making sure to log runs in state approved software and labeling.
- Follow OSHA guidelines to ensure safe working environment and equipment operation.
- Weigh/measure incoming and outgoing product from hydrocarbon lab.
- Degasification oven operation and maintenance.
- Record hours and flips on degasification oven.
- Fill hydrocarbon extractor in accordance with state regulations and company guidelines.
- Ensure all tools, hardware, perishables included in process are readily available and in supply to complete job in effective manner.
- Follow all company and state guidelines for sanitary processing of cannabis.
- Wear company required and state approved garments to work in the facility at all times.
- Due to the fast paced and safety risk of this position, this person must be able to quickly deliberate and react to situations in a manner that would effectively alleviate the event.
- Other Duties as needed.
Candidates must possess the following qualifications:
- Must have effective time management skills and ability to work in fast paced environment.
- Must be able to quantify results of extractions on proper documentation.
- Must be able to effectively use seed to sale tracking software.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to successfully pass a background check.
Physical Activities and Requirements:
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time, along with frequent bending, ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- They must be in reasonable physical condition to perform all tasks associated with the extraction process.
- Required to work with hazardous chemicals and to wear appropriate PPE
