Are you a skilled analytical chemist with Cannabis experience? We are seeking a self-motivated team-player to join our energetic group. State-licensed labs in CA test cannabis and cannabis products before sale to the dispensary using a myriad of instrumentation and techniques including HPLC, GCMS, LCMS, ICPMS, traditional and qPCR microbiology, ELISA-based assays, etc.
This is an opportunity to join the leadership team at the largest testing facility in the state. We are also the 1st ISO accredited cannabis lab in the entire world.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
*Experience with analytical evaluation of biological materials that includes: extraction of samples for chemical analyses and performing routine testing using standard operating protocols (SOPs).
*Possessing the ability to obtain well documented, reproducible and reliable results with limited supervision.
*Demonstrated expertise in data entry and strong computer skills.
*Hands-on experience in organic extraction, analytical chemistry techniques and product development.
*A working knowledge of cGMP guidelines, ISO 17025, validation of analytical methods and principal knowledge of analytical instrumentation is desired.

EXPERIENCE:
*Proficiency in the following instruments - HPLC, LCMS, GCMS, and/or ICPMS.
*Preferred experience in analytical testing of medical cannabis. Strong team leader and versatility.
*Experience in a management/leadership role preferred
EDUCATION:
*BS in chemistry, biochemistry or closely related field life with at least 3 years related industry, government or academic work experience. Excellent written and oral communication skills, independent problem-solving skills, and the ability to contribute in a team environment are essential.
*MS in chemistry or closely related field with at least 1 year instrumentation experience.
*PhD in chemistry or closely related field with at least 1 year instrumentation experience
Salary commensurate with experience.
