Lab Director Extracton Technician

DUTIES:

• Oversee, direct, and operate all aspects of extraction & post processing areas of the lab, from product prep, extraction and post-processing.
• Work towards setting and meeting department goals around efficiencies, yields vs cost.
• Ability to operate and control all equipment in a laboratory-type environment including Ironfist, OSS Machines.
• Works with operations director to refine, develop and document Standard Operating Procedures for areas of extraction and post-processing.
• Work with operations director to refine and develop workflow, and training for department staff.

• Recruit, hire and train.

• Directly supervises extraction,post processing technicians.
• Evaluate performance, set goals, provide feedback and discipline to extraction,post processing team members.
• Supervise, train, tasks and motivates crew members and leads team * Ensures consistency and efficacy of product through quality control testing and procedures.
• Organize and oversee all duties required to ensure a clean and safe production facility.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Biology, Bio-Chemistry or related field, experience would be considered
• Minimum of one year paid experience working with hydrocarbon extraction equipment
• Ability to consistently produce high quality concentrates
• Have a reliable vehicle and smartphone
• General computer and email proficiency
• Must be able to work legally in the US
• Over 21 years of age
• Valid driver’s license
• Knowledge and understanding of state and local laws
• Understanding of proper and safe handling of hazardous materials
• Familiarity with separations, isolation and fractionation
• Knowledge of solventless extraction methods
• Ability to work efficiently without compromising accuracy and standards
• Ability to discern the quality of plant material and finished products
• Strong computer skills
• Effective communication and social intelligence
