Cannabis Industry Kitchen Manager/Baker Needed.

We are currently looking for a reliable, trustworthy, and hardworking individual. We are a business that is continuing to grow every day and specifically, we need people who can help us take our business to the next level! An experienced forward-thinking individual with at least 5 years experience in a commercial kitchen setting preferred.

Candidates must be self-starters, motivated and capable of being a team leader, trainer and can multi-task effectively. Detail oriented a plus! Must work well with team members and have a positive attitude.

Skills Required: Ensure orders are processed accurately and promptly. Follow recipes carefully. Measure and assemble ingredients for menu items. Mixing, forming and baking techniques using a very strict SOP, which must be followed with painstaking accuracy. Maintains inventory levels for reordering and coordinates with buyers on what is needed. Ensures inventory is organized, available and ready for use. Audits inventory on a regular basis and enters data into the database. Serves as a liaison with the retail shops. Coordinates storage and disposal of cannabis products. Oversee and assist in the execution of regular meetings with kitchen staff.

A processor of edible marihuana product shall comply with all the following to ensure safe preparation: Knowledge in safe food handling practices, described in the Michigan Health Code as well as be familiar with the rules and regulations as stated by LARA (Department of licensing and regulatory affairs with regards to processing marihuana infused products); with proof of ServSafe certificate. Documentation of training on food handling, including, but not limited to, allergens and proper sanitation and safe food handling techniques is required.

Must be familiar with FDA Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA), 21 U.S.C. section 2201 et seq. Safe Quality Food (SQF), 7.2 edition and the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), ISO 22000/ISO/TS 22002-1 (training in this area can be provided).
