Job purpose
The role of Junior Buyer is to work closely with the Purchasing Specialist, Cannabis Buyer & Warehouse. Duties include data entry, order changes/ updates, passing’s and overseeing non-inventory items inventory and reorder levels with Purchasing Specialist. Will be heavily involved in purchasing in Quick Books & Excel.
Duties and responsibilities
- Assist with weekly demand, reorder levels and maximum quantity needed on all non-cannabis product.
- Process inquiry requests as directed from various departments.
- Track info on all retail orders once placed to assure on time delivery with warehouse.
- Ongoing competitive analysis to achieve cost saving on reoccurring inventory items.
- Assist with purchase order requests involving all departments and team members as needed.
- Support with Eaze, 3rd Party Cannabis and Department orders.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in ordering, tracking and receiving high-volume weekly purchases.
- Strong, professional communication skills.
- Competence with QuickBooks, Excel, Word, SharePoint.
- Impeccable time management, teamwork and organizational skills.
- Able to work flexible hours.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Must possess a valid California Driver’s License.
Working conditions
Work in an office environment with controlled temperature. May need to work overtime and weekends as needed, particularly during initial months with company. Must be able to travel to other office locations.
Physical requirements
Must be able to sit for extended periods of time, use hands and fingers for data entry for 8 hours or more, some lifting, squatting, bending, some pushing and pulling.
