LeafList is a reputation management platform for cannabis industry professionals enabling members to make more informed business decisions, proactively build and manage their reputations, and positively influence their network. LeafList provides a non-biased reputation metric by quantifying industry experience and involvement, strength of network, and site interactions.
We are currently in pre-launch phase with our beta platform already developed by a few freelance developers. We are now looking for a talented local Java Developer to take over our ongoing development needs. Our ideal candidate has the experience to handle the majority of our requirements including: improving current features and functionality, creating new features and widgets, fixing bugs and errors, managing data collection and distribution, and integrating APIs or other 3rd party tools. You should also be able to discuss, plan, implement, and adhere to development direction, timelines, and best practices.
This is a unique opportunity to code for a tech startup company in the legal cannabis industry! Starting off, we are looking for someone to fill a part time contractor position. This will be 5 to 25 hours worth of work per week invoiced at a pre-agreed flat rate per task. After we launch, we will acquire more users and gather feedback from them. At that point, we hope to be able to offer a full time position as our development needs increase with our growth.
The position is part mobile and part in office, so we prefer someone local to Denver so we can meet in person when needed. Our office is in downtown Denver in the Ballpark neighborhood, which you will be free to work at whenever you want. The environment is laid back, but our work ethic is fierce. If you are the kind of person that is collaborative, adaptable, innovative, and self-motivating you will fit in perfectly.
When it comes to the technical stuff, LeafList is made with Java 8 using the GWT framework, it's hosted on Google App Engine, we use a Bitbucket mercurial repository, and we use Eclipse to write, commit, and deploy the code. You will also need some JavaScript, HTML, and CSS knowledge. Other tools we use are Jira, Slack, and Trello.
