The WSLCB Information Technology Services Division (ITSD)
The (ITSD) of the Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board (WSLCB) is a fast-paced, quickly adapting part of our business and is integral in finding, implementing and maintaining systems for our agency.
Your opportunity at a glance
The WSLCB is currently announcing an exciting opportunity for an ITS2- Application Support Specialist. This position is located in the Information Technology Services Division of Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board (WSLCB) within Application Team. The Application team consists of the WSLCB's application support administrators, application developers, testers and systems analysts. This position reports to the Application Support Supervisor and under general supervision, follows established work methods and procedures. The focus of this position is application support for the agency's mission-critical COTS/SaaS applications. Under direct supervision, this position is responsible for SaaS/COTS application account maintenance and support of agency SharePoint sites. This position's responsibilities also include providing technical support to SharePoint users, account management, permissions related to these systems. Problems may be of an urgent and critical nature, requiring work to be completed beyond scheduled working hours to bring systems back online. Applies technical knowledge to evaluate and follows established work methods, policies and procedures.
The incumbent primarily provides administration support, not limited to, SharePoint, Drupal, Socrata, WSLCB Business Intelligence tools, Accounting applications and backup to licensing workflow, and content management systems.
Duties
Duties: Provide SharePoint 2013 Site Administration
- Responsible for assisting in the administration and maintenance of SharePoint site and sub-sites
- Manages the permissions, groups and access to SharePoint sites
- Provide Tier 2 support for users of agency SharePoint sites
- Perform content item restores from the site collection recycle bin as requested by their users
- Serves as point of contact for division SharePoint users
- Provide training on the use of SharePoint to agency division staff
- Setup and manage alerts to monitor activity on business critical information as required
- Enforce governance rules and adhere to agency policy guidelines
- Assess division intranet site and review periodically
- Establish and maintain a working relationship with site owners and users in the site collections
- Determine and create scalable structure for top level business unit sites
- Ensure uniform navigation throughout sites
- Provide guidance to business units on structure of their sites
- Create / manage out of box workflows to automate processes
Duties: Provide support for Agency's SaaS and COTS Solutions
- Responsible for account creation and maintenance for Marijuana Seed-to-Sale Traceability, Dynamics GP, DocuSign, Box, and AirLift services
- Assist with administration, maintenance, and support of SaaS and COTS solutions Laserfiche and Drupal
- Work with vendors to assist in the resolution of complex system problems
- Record, track, and document problem-solving processes, including all successful and unsuccessful decisions made, and actions taken, through to final resolution.
- Communicate application problems and issues to key stakeholders, including management, development teams, end users, and unit leads.
- Provide guidance and cross training to other members of the team or agency as required.
- Create knowledge base articles to assist in problem resolution.
- Monitor application audit logs to provide proactive operational support in the Application environment.
- Assist with identifying opportunities to enhance or improve business processes via integration, or, as necessary, minimize the impact of integration on those processes.
- Receive and respond to incoming calls, and/or e-mails regarding service connectivity and performance problems.
- Create or modify features in existing solution
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Working level knowledge of creating and maintaining SharePoint document libraries, lists and collections.
Working level knowledge of SaaS and COTS (non-Microsoft) enterprise-wide multi-tier applications.
Working level knowledge of Active Directory with specific focus on user and group permissions.
Awareness of business intelligence application administrator managing the data sources and environments.
Working level knowledge of information technology system maintenance, troubleshooting, problem resolution, of computer systems applications or databases.
Desired Qualifications:
Applied experience in the design of user interfaces and the design, creation, and organization of SharePoint site collections that support the individual business units of the agency.
Advanced technical knowledge configuring and maintaining SaaS and COTS solutions.
Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical audiences. Professional and courteous in all interactions, great interpersonal skills.
