We are looking for an enthusiastic and flexible individual with 3-5 years of experience to provide support to end users on a variety of issues. We value critical thinkers, who stay up to date with new developments in both the IT and Cannabis-tech fields. You must be an effective communicator well versed in identifying, researching and resolving technical problems. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.


Job Responsibilities:

Ensure technology is accessible, operational and equipped with current hardware and software. Main activities include:

  • Troubleshoot hardware and software
  • Be familiar with all hardware, software and network
  • Provide orientation to new users of existing technology; train staff about uses of technology
  • Provide system support
  • Provide recommendations for IT to improve enterprise efficiency

Monitor and maintain technology to ensure maximum access and maximum uptime and reliability including:

  • Troubleshoot all technology issues
  • Maintain repair and maintenance log and schedule
  • install and monitor work stations, connect and set up hardware, load all software, provide network accounts and passwords, monitor security of all technology
  • Ensure hardware is stripped and secure before disposal
Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in a related area and 3-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
  • Previous experience with email and internet programs, computer troubleshooting, antivirus and anti-spam techniques;
  • Experience with Windows Servers and Windows workstations in a Windows domain;
  • Experience with cloud based infrastructure platforms – AWS, Azure, GCP
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in coordination and implementation of computer and peripheral systems, to include purchasing, installation, training, troubleshooting, and repair;
  • In-depth knowledge of a Windows servers, OSS and MACs;
  • Experience with Camera installation and troubleshooting a plus
  • Experience with keycard access controls a plus
  • Experience with NVR’s a plus
  • Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment.
  • Ability to travel to our 4 locations in New York: Amherst, Albany, Liverpool, and The Bronx. Occasional travel to other states may be required.
