Summary
For TGSM, IT Service management (ITSM) refers to the entirety of activities – directed by policies, organized and structured in processes and supporting procedures – that are performed to design, plan, deliver, operate, and control IT services offered to customers.
This position emphasizes individual contributions to project management in addition to managing resources in the broader aspect (defined above). The IT Service Manager executes all aspects of multiple diverse, complex, and sometimes large-scale IT projects, including project planning, execution, timing, functionality, quality, communication, and cost. This role leads the development of program/portfolio management. The IT Services Manager is responsible for undertaking the most complex IT projects from the original concept through the final implementation, ensuring that these projects align with company standards and IT strategies. The person in this role must demonstrate visioning and expertise about the project lifecycle and the systems development lifecycle.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Create project objectives, work breakdown structures, estimates, scheduling, and contingency planning and trade-offs among scope, schedule, and resources
Create project scope and goals, contract development, resource identification, and duration estimates
Identify project risk and mitigation strategies, solutions, and plans
Know and apply standards, best practices, processes, and methodologies associated with the IT industry
Build relationships with resources, peers, and leaders
Identify, create, and communicate project outcomes and project boundaries
Logically define milestones, deliverables, resources, and timelines
Articulate the business objective projects are designed to address, the linkage to corporate strategy, and associated time frame, resource requirements, financials, risks, and issues
Manage, measure, and report the status and progress of plans, tasks, and deliverables utilizing approved tools
Understand, assess, and assure quality standards for projects
Identify, monitor, and forecast all financials associated with projects, including resources, software, hardware, and travel
Manage the project scope and document requirement changes through a formal change process
Assign clear responsibility for tasks and decisions
Set clear objectives and measures, monitor process, progress and results, designs feedback loops into work
Preserve confidentiality of sensitive company information
Provide information by diligently responding to questions and requests
All other tasks and job duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in a related field required
Training
Must maintain current knowledge of and adhere to all policy and regulations of the Colorado Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED); Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE), and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and TGS Management

Previous IT experience
Project management experience

Knowledge of Colorado marijuana laws, MED regulations, and CDPHE requirements; Previous marijuana industry experience preferred with priority given to candidates with experience in CO licensed facilities
Cannabis industry experience preferred
