Summary

In this role, the term infrastructure refers to the enterprise's entire collection of hardware, software, networks, data centers, facilities, and related equipment used to develop, test, operate, monitor, manage, and/or support information technology services.

The IT Infrastructure Manager delivers member value by assuring a reliable, efficient, effective, and secure operating environment for all employees. This position is responsible for administering the company’s IT infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, Wireless, Internet, and Intranet networks, network hardware, telephone and Voice over IP (VoIP) systems, Linux and Microsoft servers, data storage, backup storage, desktop workstations, laptops, personal devices, and related software programs. This role is also responsible for user administration, support, training, and ensuring that the company’s IT resources are operating in a secure and stable manner. The IT Infrastructure Manager deploys IT architecture strategies to accommodate current and future enterprise needs and performs overall supervisory duties of department staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership for the company’s enterprise infrastructure, which includes: servers, Active Directory, VPN, Public/Private Cloud support, enterprise storage, system management and monitoring, enterprise system backups and restoration, as well as Disaster Recovery of infrastructure services
  • Perform hands-on system configuration and advanced troubleshooting of infrastructure issues to ensure service availability to meet service level expectations (SLAs)
  • Validate and manage system configuration changes to ensure successful system upgrades and configuration changes to production environment
  • Develop technical guidelines and governance framework to ensure best practices and security
  • Lead and resolve advanced infrastructure issues and service outages
  • Lead projects from implementation to completion
  • Coordinate communication and IT service needs with departments
  • Manage enterprise asset life cycles, including tracking, replacement, and surplus of equipment
  • Manage enterprise infrastructure maintenance and support contracts
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to engineers and technicians
  • Ensure the team is meeting and exceeding performance expectations as defined through metrics and benchmarks
  • Manage team resources, employee work plans, and performance appraisals
  • Preserve confidentiality of sensitive company information
  • Provide information by diligently responding to questions and requests
  • All other tasks and job duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
Training
  • Must maintain current knowledge of and adhere to all policy and regulations of the Colorado Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED); Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE), and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and TGS Management
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of switches, routers, firewalls, security appliances, VPN, IDS, IPS, and the LAN/WAN network environment
  • Advanced knowledge of Linux and Microsoft Windows environments/systems
  • In-depth experience in IT services/networking in a management and/or leadership role
  • Excellent influential, collaborative, and relationship building skills
  • Excellent computer, mathematical, language, and reasoning skills
  • High-level attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines with a shifting workload in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of Colorado marijuana laws, MED regulations, and CDPHE requirements; Previous marijuana industry experience preferred with priority given to candidates with experience in CO licensed facilities
  • Cannabis industry experience preferred
  • Must be able to individually lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, stoop, crouch, reach, and lift for long periods of time
