Job Description
The role of the Investor Relations Analyst is responsible for managing relationships with PharmaCann’s existing and prospective investors, fundraising, creating and maintaining marketing materials, and responding to investor requests. The ideal candidate for the position will have a finance background (both educational and practical experience), great attention to detail and organizational skills, ability to work well under tight deadlines and capacity to manage multiple tasks and work streams effectively. A successful candidate will be a self-starter and exhibit confidence to work both independently and to collaborate with PharmaCann’s investment community and Senior Leadership team.
Primary responsibilities may include:
- Manage investor meetings and conference presentations, including logistics, background materials and the preparation of senior executives
- Monitor and distribute peer group research; follow industry, competitor and customer developments and news flow, including earnings calls and analyst days, and communicate key takeaways to management
- Compile information / conduct detailed quantitative analysis in response to data intensive investor requests
- Track investor requests for proper completion and coordinate amongst internal teams to identify proper information and review
- Obtain and coordinate all information for the Quarterly Report with Investment Teams and the Finance Department
- Maintain the investor relations section of the website
- Review of all Quarterly Report content and formatting
- Assist with the coordination of fundraising and investor road show logistics
- Maintain investor profiles and update investor databases to include relevant activity updates and investor information
- Work with marketing team to develop and disseminate internal and external messaging of financial results, product announcements, and other corporate developments
- Maintain online investor and due diligence data rooms to reflect most up to date documentation and marketing materials are available
- Prepare materials for Board of Directors and other internal audiences on investor relations activities, share ownership, and valuation as required
- Travel as needed to investor conferences and meetings
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (MBA, CPA or CFA preferred) and 5+ years of experience in investor relations and/or equity analysis at an investment bank or asset management firm
- 3-5 years relevant work experience in food, beverage, tabaco or similar organization
- Previous experience with Reg FD and other SEC disclosure rules and regulations
- Strong quantitative analytical skills; background in accounting/corporate finance-related terms
- Excellent research and writing skills
- Attention to detail with high degree of accuracy
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to multi-task
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- High level proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
