We are seeking an Inventory Lead to work in our facility located in Santa Rosa, California. This role is responsible for ensuring proper inventory control to meet enterprise needs. This position reports directly to the VP of Operations and Compliance.
Responsibilities:

  • Maintains integrity of the physical all inventory by location.
  • Ensures proper classification and storage of all inventory (cannabis and non-cannabis).
  • Conducts timely and accurate intake of all new inventory (cannabis and non-cannabis).
  • Serve as primary track and trace user, responsible for ensuring accurate and timely reporting to the State on all internal and external movement of cannabis goods.
  • Generates daily production documentation, ensures its accuracy and timely input into internal reporting systems and State track and trace, as applicable.
  • Pro-active on capacity issues, ensuring non-cannabis materials and equipment are available to meet cannabis production needs.
  • Establishes and manages cycle count programs to maintain and replenish inventory balance of all cannabis and non-cannabis inventory.
  • Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with non-cannabis third party vendors to ensure consistent and prompt order fulfillment.
  • Executes all inventory transfers and reassigns active locations.
  • Recommends merchandise movement based on velocity report.
  • Researches potential quantity variances as identified by accounts payable.
  • Effectively queries inventory and all order-related transaction history.
  • Take a pro-active approach to continuous improvement and implement lean principles in inventory management.
  • Analyzes and monitors the financial and operational impact of inventory adjustments.
  • Complies with all laws, regulations, and Company policies and procedures.
  • Assist with Production Technician duties as necessary, including weighing, assembling and packaging various forms of cannabis medicines including but not limited to flowers, edibles, pre-rolls and oil concentrates. Accurately counting, processing, and packing of finished goods.
  • Researches transaction history to determine the source of inventory variances and order filling errors
Qualifications
  • 2+ years’ direct inventory management related experience in progressively responsible roles
  • Working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Materials and Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) software packages
  • Fluency (verbal and written) in the English language is essential
  • Ability to periodically lift, push and pull 50+ pounds, stand, walk, kneel, bend, and reach
  • Hot /cold/wet environments with loud machinery, fumes and moving vehicles
  • Excitement for working in a start-up environment with a high level of ambiguity and change
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills; attention to detail
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to implement processes resulting in satisfactory audit practices
  • Strong decision making skills
  • Excellent problem solving skills; ability to resolve inventory issues effectively and efficiently
