Job Title: Inventory Control Supervisor

Dept: Inventory/Production

Reports to: President & Officers

Job Class: Exempt

Position Summary:

Responsible for the day to day inventory of the dispensary, delivery inventory and oversee production team to ensure proper levels of inventory at all times. Create and develop vendor relationships in conjunction with head purchaser to ensure proper inventory levels, track vendor consignment accounts and facilitate payment due to vendors.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Oversee dispensary team including but not limited to: Inventory, Production, Delivery Inventory Delivery Drivers, Dispatchers
  • Ensure proper time is effectively split between departments as needed
  • Ensure back stock of all delivery products are kept to par levels
  • Ensure all products are kept in their ideal state to preserve freshness and quality of each product
  • Ensure all technology platforms are updated with our most current information (Weedmaps, Leafly, Delivery Platforms, etc)
  • Coordinate daily specials with Lead Buyer to ensure proper turnover of inventory and selling out of expiring products
  • Oversee monthly inventory and report any loss runs to partners & operations officers
  • Communicate effectively with FHO managers and production employees to identify any current or upcoming needs
  • Be cognizant of marketing calendar and upcoming events to anticipate ordering needs
  • Ensure Production team is always busy and on task
  • Ensure all staff is on time, uniforms are clean and they are well groomed
  • Handle all orders, deliveries, receiving, returns, and exchanges with vendors
  • Assist operations team in creating sales incentives for the sales staff
  • Approve all invoices for payables and ensure clear communication with accounting department
  • Communicate effectively with operations and accounting department to coordinate expected vendor reconciliation payouts
  • Assist with checkouts for all budtenders ensuring proper cash handling
  • Responsible for all cash in drop safe and vault
  • Share venue successes with other Urbn Leaf venue managers so they may adopt successful programs/promotions
  • Ensure all opening and closing duties are completed before opening and all closing duties are completed and the venue is completely secured before departing for the night
  • Responsible for all cash in the drop safe/vault and recording all payouts in AP book
  • Regularly check AP email and coordinate vendor orders and payment dates
  • Maintain an accurate and updated list of vendor contacts and develop new vendor relationships
  • Responsible for receiving all product, creating new items, deleting old items, checking in products, scanning invoices, loading to vendor docs
  • Ensure new products are ready for sale within 48 hrs of receiving
  • Meet with management team to ensure proper follow-up on all action items and address any personnel issues
  • Responsible for all vendor payments and account upkeep
  • Responsible for all office and MMJ product inventory and orders
  • Coordinate flower exchange from safe > day cage > floor
  • Ensure jars are reassigned with new strains and ensure proper pricing and labeling of all products on shelves
  • Manage delivery inventory, ensure cases are properly stocked and inventoried each day
  • Make recommendations on all pertinent employee issues relating to the company, including first or second interviews for all prospective staff
  • Handle customer issues and concerns in a professional and effective manner
  • Collaborate with Human Resources to ensure the venue is compliant with all pertinent employee rules and regulations
  • Ensure proper ambiance and cleanliness within venue at all times
  • Ensure that the Urbn Leaf brand is always being properly represented
  • Execute quarterly all staff meetings and venue cleanings
  • Train and develop employees to develop our team from within
  • Set sales goals and incentives for all staff to move stale inventory
  • Work with management team to create and implement staff incentive programs to increase level of service, promote upselling, and enhance staff morale
  • Participate in local area business organizations and networking groups
  • Read industry publications to keep up-to-date on trends
  • Create and implement policies and procedures that will enhance customer service
  • Enforce all policies and procedures of venue and company
  • Reconcile end of day deposit and reset banks for the following shift
  • Walk the venue on a regular basis to ensure the facility is properly maintained and address any damage that needs to be repaired

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years management experience in high volume establishments with extensive knowledge in the cannabis industry
  • Must be able to input and access information in the POS system, delivery systems, marketing outlets, computers, etc
  • Must be comfortable learning new skills
  • Must have a hands-on, proactive management style
  • Must be willing to pass a background check, in accordance with local/law regulations

Education:

Must have one or more of the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university
  • Four years’ relevant experience and/or training
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:

  • Valid California Driver’s License
  • Valid California Medical Marijuana Dr.’s Recommendation
  • CPR and First Aid certified (must be obtained within 30 days of employment)

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand/walk for up to 6 hours at a time
  • Must be able to sit for up to 8 hours at a time
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds safely and properly
  • Ability to work in a stressful, fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to work days, nights, holidays and weekends

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $46,000.00 to $55,000.00 /year
