What’s The Role About:
We are looking for an Industrial Designer to join our team. You understand function, but you love form. Figuring out the most beautiful way to solve a problem is what drives you. You won’t settle until you’ve created a streamlined, sustainable, mass produced product that looks as awesome as it works. You have a proven track record of bringing hardware products to market, from concept through manufacturing.
Some things you will be responsible for:
Provide innovative design solutions for new and existing products
Sketch, model, and create prototypes
Conduct customer and market research
Inspire and guide design that incorporates relevant market trends
Understand the competitive landscape and differentiate our products from imposters
Represent consumer-centric thinking
Work closely with the engineering team
Work with overseas production team through manufacturing
Adapt and learn new technologies and manufacturing processes
Understanding and empathy for the final user experience
Some qualifications and skills we need you to have:
Minimum 5 years experience working in product design
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design/Product Design
A strong portfolio of work and a history of successful projects
Strong understanding of CMF
Strong understanding of rapid prototyping and manufacturing processes
Experience working with overseas vendors
Expert abilities in CAD complex surfacing, proficient in SolidWorks
Great concept sketching and ideation skills
Excellent critical thinking, sound judgment, and effective decision-making ability
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail
