JOB PURPOSE
The Human Resources Data Assistant (HRDA) will be responsible for data integrity, physical employee files, maintaining employee payroll profiles, reporting, and training for all HRDA’s. They will work with all levels of the organization to obtain required documents, evaluate and maintain all HR systems and applications. In addition, they will identify and make system recommendations for new HRDA needs and solutions to fulfill the needs of employees. The HRDA will report to the Director of HR and work closely with the HR Coordinators. This position will provide strong internal HR support and ensure HR compliance and data integrity.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support recruitment efforts, such as facilitate pre-employment screenings and send offer letters
- Facilitate new hire onboardings and organize all required employee documents
- Audit employee data in our payroll server and update when necessary
- Maintain and update physical employee records and files (Leave of Absence forms, Workers Compensation files, Payroll system files etc)
- Use strong analytical skills to provide HR operational support, which could include, but no limited to: data and record management, prepare and maintain HR reporting metrics, process HR transactions
- Practice effective communication skills to support supervisors in the interpretation of HR policies and practices
- Coordinate HR communications and community relations activities
- Protect and maintain confidential employee information
- Regularly perform data audits and validation, and follows up with appropriate teams for corrections
- Support of other financial & HR related reporting tools such as Excel data models connecting to HRDA, Data Mart or other sources.
- Provide guidance and recommendations that optimize profitable, and eliminate unprofitable risk
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 2 years of HR experience or associates degree in HR related field
- Experience working with Human Resources Information Systems or applicant tracking systems or time tracking/ Systems
- Flexibility to meet continuously changing priorities and challenges
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidential information is critical
- Mathematical skills, including basic math, percentages and variances are utilized frequently
- A strong attention to detail and order
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, & Outlook)
PREFERRED
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with FLMA or other HR data information
- Previous HR experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Experience with GNSA
