Korova looking for a self-motivated and engaging HR Administrative Assistant with outstanding communication abilities to join our Cannabis Company in Vallejo, California.
The HR Assistant maintains employee personnel files, coordinates new hire orientation and benefit enrollment activities and is a point person for all company recruitment activities for our Vallejo, Oakland, and Southern California locations. This position will also assist the Human Resources Manager with various administrative needs and projects as requested. Travel is required between our Vallejo and Oakland facilities.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Posts all new positions and maintains current positions on various recruiting sites
- Creatively sources active and passive candidates using a variety of recruiting tools and techniques
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date candidate information
- Conducts phone screens and schedules in-person interviews
- Communicates candidate interview details with candidates, the interview team, and outside recruitment agencies (when applicable)
- Performs general administrative functions within an Applicant Tracking System
- Completes offer letters, background and reference checks in accordance with department standards
- Conducts new hire onboarding that fosters Korova’s “Right Stuff” Culture and creates positive first impression of the Company
- Creates and maintains employee personnel files by ensuring completeness, accuracy, and confidentiality of employee records and information
- Keeps employee notification methods (including lunch room bulletin boards) updated and maintained
- Processes new hire and other payroll related information into ADP Workforce Now in a timely manner
- Works with the Leadership team in coordinating employee events including holiday events and any recognition programs.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities, as assigned by the Human Resources Manager
Requirements:
- Must be 21+ years of age
- 2+ years’ experience working as an Administrative Assistant in a fast-paced environment
- 1+ years’ experience recruiting or HR experience; recruiting internship experience strongly considered
- Intermediate to advanced skills with MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook; familiarity with sourcing and recruiting tools such as LinkedIn, Indeed, etc. a plus
- Experience with ADP Workforce a plus
- Highly organized with a knack for research and social media
- Sharp eye for detail and precision
- Outgoing communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable talking with all levels of talent and staff with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision
- Proven track record with handling sensitive and confidential information
- Demonstrates good judgment when called upon to problem-solve
