Today, Vangst has 41 full-time employees and over 150 gig employees between Colorado and California. We’re currently expanding to additional legalized markets as well as launching a new product this fall to more effectively connect employees with cannabis jobs.

What you will do:
- Create and implement HR handbook for both internal employees and on-demand employees
- Stay up to date with all cannabis-related employment laws in all States we are currently operating and plan to operate in the future
- Ensure all employee files are up to date for both internal employees and on-demand employees
- Strengthen implement internal policies
- Create and implement standard performance reviews for all departments
- Create and implement standard performance improvement plans for all departments
- Review current benefit plans and explore alternative options when our current plan expires
- Review current workers compensation plan and review alternative options when our current plans expire
- Work with our lawyers to ensure we are compliant in all States we are operating (for both Direct Hire and On Demand)
- File all HR paperwork (with help of our lawyers) necessary to operate in various States
- Work with internal recruiting team and department heads to build a more robust onboarding / training program for all new hires
- Work with department heads to develop on-going training and personal development for all teams
- Available (and willing / excited) to work with team members regarding any frustrations, challenges, or concerns they may have

- Implemented HR at a fast-growing startup
- Managed HR for both internal and temporary (on demand) employees
- Worked at a company that has grown from 40 – 200
