Job Description

Job Title: Human Resources & Administrative Assistant

Location: Nottingham, Maryland

Salary: $50k

Health For Life Maryland is managing multiple Medical Cannabis dispensary locations throughout Maryland and is looking for a professional to fill an HR and Administrative Assistant position. This person should have attention to detail and the ability to multi-task and take direction from multiple people. This person will be responsible for making sure that all assigned tasks are done in a timely, efficient manner. Candidate must also have good communication skills and the ability to deal well with people. We are looking for someone who is able to perform multifaceted general office support as well. Role Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the point person for all employee paperwork and documentation including pre-employment company paperwork as well as state required Complia/ METRC requirements for Dispensary/ Production agent registrations
  • Provide guidance and support to hiring manager/team in the recruitment process, which includes, discussing job requirements and applicant qualifications with hiring managers/team; creating and updating job descriptions, posting job vacancies, pre-screening resumes, phone screening, scheduling interviews, checking references, conducting background checks and verifying educational degrees
  • Oversight of all employee new hire, state required training logs, corrective action and exit paperwork
  • Develop and administer programs, procedures, and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the company.
  • Partner with management to communicate Human Resources policies, procedures, programs and laws.
  • Management of all unemployment and workers compensation claims
  • Training and communication with all managers on compliance in these areas.
  • Other duties as necessary for successful and efficient operations
