We are currently seeking a Head of Marketing to lead the Marketing department at our headquarters in Seattle, WA. What You Will Be Doing: As Head of Marketing, you will be at the forefront of defining Leaflys’ brand and growth strategies in one of the fastest growing industries. You will be responsible for all activities related to conceptualizing and implementing brand market strategy and achieving marketing targets. Specific responsibilities include brand market development; market research and planning; strategic direction for promotion and advertising; driving customer engagement, activation, and retention; and hiring and directing the activities of the marketing organization. Reporting to the SVP of Growth, the Head of Marketing leads the brand, growth, and communication functions of the business. This position comes with a wide array of responsibilities and requires an individual who is capable of balancing duties in a very fast paced and continually evolving work environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience leading marketplace marketing teams in high-growth tech firms, breathes brand, and understands how to integrate marketing into the core of an organization. Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Planning:
    • Develop marketing strategies based on market and user research and insights, strong analytics (including costs, conversion, retention, LTV and ROI)
    • Set and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
  • Brand Reputation:
    • Manage the voice & brand of Leafly through content, PR, advertising, email, blogs, and all social channels
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and portfolio brands to establish a world-class marketplace in the cannabis industry
  • Consumer Marketing:
    • Develop compelling consumer marketplace marketing initiatives including partnerships, promotions, campaigns and loyalty programs nationally in the US
  • Management and Leadership:
    • Lead a growing team of marketing professionals to execute on marketing and branding strategies
    • Work closely with and influence the regional Marketing Organizations across our global territories
  • Analysis:
    • Utilize data-driven decision making to improve the performance of our marketing efforts
    • Prioritize initiatives based on highest potential impact
Qualifications:
  • 10+ years experience developing and executing scalable data-driven marketing programs.
  • Prior global marketplace experience for B2C and B2B tech company a plus
  • Can handle ambiguity by using common sense, problem solving skills and an acute sense of judgment.
  • Knowledge and experience with all facets of brand and performance marketing strategies & tactics.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communications skills
  • Must be a collaborative team-player
  • Strong attention to detail and follow through
  • Strong analytical and technical capability and understanding
  • Sense of humor – ability to stay cool under pressure
  • Self-starter who enjoys working in a fast-paced, innovative technology environment
  • Flexible, willing to help when and where needed
  • Bachelor’s degree, MBA a plus
