The team is growing and we need to install HR practices and processes that will enable us to continue scaling successfully. With that in mind, we need an experienced HR professional to join the team as the Head of Human Resources.
This new addition to our management team brings 5+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally in a SaaS, logistics, or delivery services industry. Of course, experience in cannabis is a plus!
You will guide and manage the overall provision of Human Resources services, policies, and programs for the entire organization.
Responsibilities

Recruiting: create job postings, source candidates, filtering through applications, screening candidates, scheduling interviews with hiring managers.

Onboarding: facilitate offer letters and employment agreements between new hires and management. Improve the overall onboarding experience so new hires will welcomed, valued, and ready to hit the ground running. Ensure that all relevant paperwork is sorted during this onboarding process for both employees and contractors.

Training: continue to develop the core training for the team as processes, systems, and strategies continue to evolve.

System Development: work directly with the COO on internal documentation, process development, and metrics for reviewing key performance indicators.

Performance Management: work with management to implement and maintain a performance management schedule. Evaluate the findings and develop road maps to improve things.

Payroll: lead the charge in processing payroll for the employees and contractors on the team.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience and passion for finding and recruiting best-in-industry creative talent in the passive market;
- General knowledge of various employment laws and practices.
- Above average oral and written communication skills.
- 5+ years of leadership experience in Human Resources positions.
- Exceptional consulting, coaching and facilitation skills
- Have an affinity for process development and efficiency
- Experience helping organizations scale required
- Have an eye for compliance, protocol, and systemized efficiencies
- Well organized and methodical approach to problem solving
- Superior verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness to roll up your sleeves to get things done in addition to leading complex strategy discussions
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Strong desire to learn new skills, improve processes, and continually develop personally and professionally
- Experience in cannabis is a plus!
